Designing new prints for upcoming collections is a journey of boundless inspiration for our Designer/Founder, Michelle. Her unwavering passion for vibrant patterns, vivid hues, and captivating landscapes has led to the creation of our mesmerising Love Bird Print.
Michelle's creative path draws its essence from the opulence of French Chateaus, with their sumptuous wallpapers, luxurious vistas, and intricate floral motifs. Her connection to the world of French Chinoiserie design, steeped in European history dating back to the 17th century, is no coincidence.
Immersed in a marriage to a French gentleman and embarking on an annual European odyssey to visit her stepchildren, Michelle became enchanted by the enduring allure of Chinoiserie trends that once captured Europe's hearts. Adorning the walls of the most luxurious Chateaus, this art form became a cornerstone of French Interior design. Tea tins adorned with captivating designs, previously unseen in the Western world, beckoned toward unexplored realms. Wallpapers depicting lush Asian vistas became the historic precursor to today's Instagram—a visual journey that transcended time and space.
